Entry #8: Life is better with friends.

Having a best friend or someone you can always rely on is something truly precious. I am lucky enough to have known my best friend my whole life. For as long as I can remember my best friend Maddie and I have always been inseparable.

A year before we were born, my uncle Stephen married her aunt Corrie so we are related but not by blood. When you have known someone so well for such a long time, you began to pick up on their quirks and mannerism. Because of this, Maddie and I are so similar it often times freaks people out when we say the same exact sentence at the same time. When we are together there is always laughter and joy. We love traveling and being adventurous.

Our frienship however is not always us being fun and crazy. Being best friends also means that when one of us is going through something hard,  that the other one is there with them. Whenever something challenging happens I know that I can confide in Madison and that she will give me what I need to hear even if it is not what I want to hear and no matter what she always finds the good in every situation which I admire.

Life is about surrounding yourself with people you love doing the things that you love. So if you find a friend who enjoys the things you love, challenges you to always strive for better, and be there to pick you up when you fall, never let them go.
